So finally I can brag about these four little summer dresses that I made for Christmas. One of them was intended for my older daughter and the other I made for three little girls as Christmas presents.  The first one took me a while but once I got the hang of it It only took me an hour to sew.
For those of you that are interested. I used these two tutorials as a guide. Video tutorial from the Martha Stewart show
and this video tutorial from Threadbanger

My next assignment is a woolen sweater for myself :)

Well... my first assignment for this blog was to make a gingerbread house. This is my first attempt to make one from scratch, but I had a little help from my 4 year old daughter, Helena. We are pretty pleased with the result. But I could definitely do with a little practice in piping.... Okay, maybe a lot :)

We used royal icing for most of the decorations, like the pink "paint", the trees and the piping around the windows. The door is from chocolate, the roof shingles are made of mentos and the door handles and walkway are made of tiny candy coded chocolates.

So I have decided to start a blog. There are mainly two reasons for this. First and foremost is the fact that I have always regretted not taking pictures of all the things that I have made in the past. The other reason is that I wanted to share my hobbies with others with similar interests.  So I needed a place to keep track of my hobbies. My own little hobby room where I can hold all my things in place and share them with others.
